The Latest

I am always looking for the next thing-whether it's a new bag-pair of shoes-sweater. I am always hunting for new designers. A friend of mine told me about www.dagnedover.com and I fell in love with this pink camo wallet. It's perfect and holds a multitude of things. Check out their website. You will be impressed.

CatchUp

It's been awhile and I realize that I have missed blogging.  It's been a fairly good year. I am blessed to have wonderful friends and family. My work family is amazing too. 2018 saw me turn 60, travel to Mexico, visit friends in Florida and enjoy my living space. I feel blessed. Merry Christmas to all who celebrate. Until the next time.

Cath Up

The past few months have been hectic. Summer has been rainy but good. I started out the summer celebrating my 60th birthday.  It was a shock to turn 60. It's an age that seems very adult and very final (many of my friends are grandparents).  The realization that my next big birthday is 70 was shocking to say the least.

I spent last weekend in Ocala Florida visiting childhood friends of my Mother's. We had fun despite the fact that it never stopped raining. How has your summer been?

LOOKS

It's been a long four years-Mom died, moved, three major surgeries and it goes on and on.  I am happy though and for the first time in a long time I am at peace.  I took these photos the other day and am evaluating my makeup.  I think that I need a new look.  What are your favorite products? Please share.

Sleepwear

I love preppy nightshirts!! They have been increasingly difficult to find. A friend told me about Malabar Bay and I was an instant convert. Their sleep shirts and be shirts are very comfortable and wash with great ease.  They would make wonderful gifts for the graduate or for Mom as well.

I did take this picture from their website as I am having some technical difficulties this morning.

Homegoods Haul

I have been in my apartment for three years now and it's time to refresh a bit.  I adore Homegoods and headed there this past weekend. I ended up purchasing paper goods and some melamine trays. I adore melamine. It's easy to serve off of and lightweight as well-I can take a dish to a gathering and it's no big deal.  I adore anything blue and white so anytime they have blue and white paper goods I stock up. Are you a Homegoods fan?

A Week of Disgrace and Shame

I don't know about you but I was in shock at the news of Matt Lauer's firing. I always knew (via the tabloids) that he wasn't the best husband-but propositioning staffers and assaulting them wow.  I  think about disgrace and shame a lot.  Having been a HR officer in the 1980's was very different than the HR departments of the millennium.  I feel guilty that I did not do more to protect the women at the various organizations I worked for. Mind you no one ever came to me and said that they were assaulted but many said that men in higher positions flirted with them excessively.

I have spent the good part of today thinking about Savannah Guthrie's comment "how do you reconcile the behavior of someone you care about who has behaved so badly."  Where do you start?  I have been in the position of shame at a few points in my life-I can tell you that it takes many years for people to regain your trust. Some people show forgiveness and others can't  let it go-ever! Actions speak louder than words.  No written or apology works. It takes years of action .  How do you feel about this topic?
